At the Market for Women! Network Group

Our Signature Program - Growing Business Together!

  • Our Saturday Morning Women's Network Group, is designed for those who want to support others in business.  The group meets once a month from 9am - 10am, usually on the fourth Saturday of each month. Listen to guest speakers, support a non-profit, receive recognition for your efforts to the group, then if you choose, use our showroom to sell to the public from 10a - 4p.


We operate with high standards and ensure that all businesses represented at our Retail & Development Center are doing the same. 


Members of this group must be operating legally as a business registered in the State of Kansas, pass the market's application process and be approved. You may be asked to provide photos of your products and/or services before a determination can be made. We reserve the right to refuse any business into the market for any reasons.


This program has a focus on growing business together by listening to informative guest speakers, networking, forming partnerships, taking advantage of training opportunities, and selling products/services to the public.


How it Works!


At the Market for Women! is for business leaders who are serious about growing their businesses. Each business leader can practicably apply what they have learned at the market immediately. Everything that we do in this program has two reasons behind it: Business Education and Business Growth.


Affordable Fees - This program is affordable to join and offers monthly payments. You can save  by buying the year at a 15% discounted rate for Option 1 as described below.


Easy Requirements: Participate every month, network and refer business to our members! 


You can choose one of the two options below for each month.


Option 1 - Attend the Network Meeting & Stay all Day to Sell to the Public


  • Honor your commitments that you make with the market. 
  • Invite 150-200 people each month to our Facebook Events Pages or use recommended alternative ideas to get shoppers to the event. 
  • REQUIRED: Provide a Prize Giveaway at your table.
  • Invite friends in business to attend the meeting. Your guests can come one time for free.


Option 2 - Attend the Network Meetings Only 


  • Honor your commitments that you make with the market.
  • Invite  friends in business to attend the meeting with you. Your guests can come one time for free.
  • Stay after we open to the public to network with our biz leaders.

The 2021 Dates for At the Market for Women! Network Group

January 23rd, February 27th, March 27th, April 24th, May 22nd, June 26th, July 24th, August 28th, September 25th, October 23rd, November 20th, December 4th


Option 1 - Network & Sell | Booth Space Reservations

After you have submitted your application, you will be added to the roster to set up and sell. 


Your spot is not secured until you have paid your invoice. If you fail to pay your monthly invoice on time, we reserve the right to give your spot to another person. 


We only allow one representation per company. 

Invoicing

Invoices are sent out on the 15th of each month for the following month's event. Payment is due upon receipt. If your invoice is not paid by the first of the month and we have not heard from you, your unpaid invoice will be cancelled and your spot will be filled.     


  • ALL payments are to be made by the invoice that is sent via email. 
  • No refunds.  All fees paid are non-refundable and non-transferable to another date or to another person.

The Schedule

January – December: 8:30 am – 5pm 

  • 8:30 am – 9:00 am -Set Up
  • 9:00 am – 10:00 am - Network Meeting 
  • 10:00 am – 4:00 pm -Open to Public for Selling
  • 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm -Tear Down


Business Leaders with booths who need to leave before 4pm will be placed at the back of the showroom so that they can exit out our back door safely.  


Cut-Off Date

The cut-off date to join is one week before the group meets. No one will be able to join after the cut-off date.


Joining past the first of the month but before the deadline? No problem! Fill out the application and you will be sent an invoice due upon receipt.  

The Setup

Bring Your Own Setup! The Market will not be providing tables and chairs at our retail center.  This allows each business owner the flexibility to design how they want their space to look.


Table Covers must look professional and be made of fabric with no wrinkles and must go to the floor on the front side of the table. Fitted Table Covers are the most desirable for our retail space. 

Option 2 - Network Meeting Only

Good to Know

  • ATTIRE: Business Casual. This is a business professional's group so we ask you to dress in business casual as a representative of your business and The Market. No T-shirts, shorts or jeans please.
  • Only one Rep per Company for selling. Example: Two Business owners cannot rep separately for the same cosmetic company.
  • Product Balance: The market will work to ensure that there is a balance of the type of products that will be represented. In other words, we will ensure that the whole market is not made up of all “skin care” or all  “jewelry”. 
  • These are  “family” friendly events. Companies who handle “adult” products/clothing or have labels on their products that allude to something questionable  will not be allowed to participate. 
  • Only one Company Represented per space. Example: Some business leaders own two or more companies. In order to represent more than one company at a single event, separate spaces would need to be purchased.

Oh, That Sales Tax Thing!

The organizers of this event are required to file a report with the State of Kansas for all businesses who participate at each event.


All federal, state, and local laws governing retail sales tax must be followed. Failure to comply may result in expulsion from the event.


  • If you are not registered with the State of Kansas as a business or a non-profit you will not be allowed to participate in this program.
  • If you are a MLM (multi-level)/Direct Sales you are covered by your Company.
  • If you have an account with the State of Kansas, please make sure that your Kansas Retailers Sales Tax Registration Certificate is visible at your table.
  • Sales Tax Rate for Wichita:  7.5%


CRAFTERS: The Market does make special exceptions for crafters and will allow them to join  during certain times of the year. Those crafters without an account with the State of Kansas may file their sales tax through a packet that the market will supply to you. You will have 25 days to submit your sales tax.

The Day Of

You will have access to the building at 8:30am and will have 30 minutes to set up. The front entry doors must be cleared before 9:00am when we begin our meeting. 


The organizers do not provide help with unloading or loading, please bring your own helpers.


Only one helper per booth.  


No Children under 12 years old are allowed to stay at the event. Children 12 years old and older must be helping at a booth. Please contact us if you are a nursing mother, we do make concessions for you and will help you find a private area if needed.


Why only a 30 minute Setup? These events are geared towards training as well as selling. Bring only a good representation of your items. Use this to your advantage to drive people to your websites, store fronts, and other sites to do business with you when you are not at the market. Use your table as a teaser to entice our guests to explore further with you. Show your catalogues, have your web up on your lap top, etc.

When You Arrive

  • Stop at the check in counter at the front door to confirm your reservation and to receive any further instructions. 
  • You will be walked to your assigned space and shown how to set your table.
  • It is very possible that the same type of products/services could be next to each other. Regardless, we always support our competitors!  
  • If you want to be next to your friend, you will need to indicate that when you sign up. We will try to make it happen! 

Safety Works!

Please keep the store tidy. Pick up pieces of paper or plastic off of the floor as soon as you see it. Please let a volunteer know about any spills or if the floor is wet. 


No-one is allowed to tear down early without prior permission.  DO NOT TEAR DOWN UNTIL THE LAST CUSTOMER HAS LEFT! This is for safety reasons!!! 

The Giveaways!

Prize Giveaways are a draw to the event!

REQUIRED: Every Business must participate in prize drawings at their tables! 

  • Each business will provide a prize giveaway and set up  their own drawing slips, signage and container at their table.
  • Drawings are held at the time of closing .
  • Fill out the provided Prize Winner Form and submit it to the organizers at the time of closing. 
  • Prize winners and what they won will be posted on Facebook.
  • Prizes CANNOT be discounted offers, require a formal meeting, party, or come with any other strings attached.
  • Prizes need to be tangible items.
  • Gift Cards/Gift Certificates given need to equal the value of your average price points to that the winner can have an item for FREE from your business if they choose or they may use it towards a more expensive item.
  • Deliver your prizes to your winners in a timely manner.


If you cannot give away your own product or services you may find an alternative way to gift. Restaurant Gift cards, box of chocolates, Movie Tickets, etc. are good examples.

Winners must receive their items within a timely manner.


If the organizers receive any complaints about the way a prize was awarded, we will take it under advisory and make a determination towards a better outcome for the winner.


NOTE: All business owners and their volunteers qualify to enter these drawings!


Sponsorship Grand Prize


There will only be one Sponsorship Grand Prize given away at any one event. 

Our guests will receive ONE ticket for every $10 that is spent at a booth. 

Prize Drawing Tickets are provided by the market organizer.

The drawing will take place one hour before we close, and the winner must be present to win. 

Guest may leave and come back for the drawing.

Use this to your advantage. If someone buys $25, upsell them to $30 so they can get another  ticket!
